About me
My name is Andy-Kim Möller. I was born in 1978 in the near of Frankfurt in germany. I growed up in rural environment and nature was always an important part of my live.

I spend my childhood mostly with camping, fishing and analyze the nature. We caught snakes, watched birds and tried to catch the biggest carp in the world.

After my school time i started a training as informatican and til now i earn my money with it. I am now specialized in touristic internet applications like onlinebooking engines, and i am doing this job as a freelancer.

After a few years in my job i recognized that i was missing all those "adventure activities" from my childhood. I missed the hours in the nature. I started to change my holidays from big allinclusive hotels to traveling in rough nature like dogsledging in the north of norway or exploring the coast of namibia in a kayak. And to keep my experiences over non-holiday times i started to documentate my holidays.

My first camera was a Minolta X-300. I bought the camera at ebay and started to a trip through the north of norway. We traveled through the lofots and i did a lot of landscape pictures. When we arrived in Andenes we rent a trip to the sperm whales and on the way into the deep sea areas we met a group of orcas. I made hundreds of images with this whales on it. I was so suprised of this amazing animals that i was "on high voltage" until the pictures arrived back from the laboratory. From my hundreds of images only a few ones were really useable and this was the time when i decided to change to digital camera.

Still a bloody greenhorn i bought a Minolta Z2 camera. Now i was able to see my failures, but it was hard to handle the camera manually. I made my experiences until i recognized that i was not able to handle that camera fast enough to capture good animal images. Sometimes even on landscape images the sun was faster like me. ;)

Again i started to search for a new camera. The first digital SLR. And some photographers believe that this is the most important decision in their livetime. Nikon or Canon. I stand in front of a photo shop (not the software) with a nikon D70 in one hand and a canon 300D in the otherone. After i recognized that i was not able to handle a canon camera i tried the nikon. And somehow the nikon gave me a better feeling. By heart i was able to use this camera without taking a look into the manual. The handling was completely logical to me. I became a nikonian.

With my new nikon camera i started to explore the world. I learned from books, do it yourself and workshops with the famous nature photographers in the world. I read a lot of image books to learn the tricks of my favourite photographers. I was interested in everything i found and a big mixture of Art Wolfe, Fritz Pölking, Michael Freeman and a lot of other books filled my regals.

I started to make some shows with the images of my trips. Private shows with family and friends and get a real positive return. After one of those shows i was laying on my back in my bed and take a look through the window in the stars. And then i started to think about selling my images. I made a plan. And i did what i always do when i am start planing something new. I ordered books, took a look into the internet, checked some websites of some other successfull photographers. I decided to put some of my images into microstocksites. This was the fastest way to offer some of my images to customers and see which of my images start to sell.

I sold around 300 images in a few weeks and did not even earn 150$. This couldn't be the right way to sell my images. So i am now searching for an agency to sell my images and started this website to show my images to the world.

and this is where i am now.
